Who we are

Codepire is a software studio. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Codepire. We decide how the personal data described here is used. If you have any question about your data, email [email protected].

What we collect

When you use the contact form, we receive what you type: your name, email address, company (optional), when you’d like to start, what you need, your budget range and your message.

When you email us, we receive your email and anything in it.

When you visit the site, the company that hosts it records technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Its fonts are served from our own site, so a visit doesn’t send your details to a font provider.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project.
  • To prepare a proposal or agreement if you ask for one.
  • To keep a record of our conversations with you.
  • To keep the website secure and working.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t add you to marketing emails.

Our legal basis

If you’re in the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on two legal bases. Replying to your enquiry is a step you’ve asked us to take before a possible contract. Running and securing the website, and keeping records of our conversations, are in our legitimate interests.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of service providers, who handle data only on our behalf:

  • Resend delivers contact-form enquiries to our inbox.
  • Zoho Mail hosts our email, including the enquiries we receive.
  • Our website host serves the site and keeps short-lived technical logs.

We don’t share your data with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

These providers may store or process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, those transfers are covered by the providers’ data processing terms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to a project: up to two years after our last contact, then deleted.
  • If we work together: as long as the project needs, and afterwards for as long as accounting and legal obligations require.
  • Technical logs: for the short period our website host keeps them.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or give you a copy in a portable format. You can also object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to your data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK or the authority in your EU country. We’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Security

Data travels encrypted between your browser, this site and our providers. Only the people at Codepire who need enquiries to do their work can see them.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn’t aimed at children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. The terms of use cover the rest of how the site may be used.
